Who to support at the next World Cup? I was devastated that Holland are out, now Belgium have a playoff against the Czech Republic, they have very little change of progressing by the looks of it. The Czechs abolutely destroyed Bulgaria, 6-0. Anyone seen that free kick from Nedved?
Maybe I'll go for Portugal, they are not gonna win it but at least they have style. And they are the best looking team, or so I'm told....

<lj:music>The Band - Music from the Big Pink</lj:music>

I haven't been writing much, too much to do! Will try again though.
Helena has 6 more weeks to go, if the baby is on time, that is.
So I've got just a couple of weeks to do my own thing. I've not got a clue as to how I'm gonna deal with this fatherhood bussiness, I'm looking forward to it, but it's also scary as hell. What about my travelling plans, I don't want to be domesticated!
Helena is starting to feel the strain now, up until now she's been keeping really well but now she seems totally drained of energy. It's my birthday next week, hopefully she'll feel up to it cause I was planning on going out for the weekend. I'll need to find someone to mind the dogs though.
That's another thing, we got Billy about a month ago, he's a puppy, some cross between a collie and another dog, we got him from the RSPCA, he's about 11 weeks old now and quite a handfull. He sometime drive's Helena up the wall because he has enormous amounts of energy and will run through the house and challenge Red to playfight and chew things and generally make a nuisance of himself. Helena has dropped hints that if the baby arrives we'll have to evaluate if we can keep him, if it's not too much work for her. I would be devastated if we would have to rehome him. I mean, what did she expect, that he was just gonna sit on her lap and be a good boy?
On the other hand, I probly don't have any idea how much work a baby is going to be, so I guess I'll just have to hope for the best. C'mon girl, show me some of that girlpower!

    <lj:music>Georgia Sattellites - Another change</lj:music>

A while ago I was browsing to one of these advertisment magazines you get with the sunday papers. It's called 'innovations' or something, and they have all kinds of smart wee thingies in there, one of them being a small nose and ear hair trimmer. It made me laugh at the time.
But then I was having a close look in the mirror just now and thinking maybe I should get me one of those! My father has hair growing out of his nose and ears, even his eyebrows are getting longer and freakyisher. I don't wanna be like him.

Still can't believe that I'll be a daddy soon. Helena's belly is starting to show now, she has this radiantly happy look that you see on young mothers. She's such a sweety.
Guess I have to grow up now and stuff. I was talking to Heather last night saying how much I would like to be in a band again, if only I could find the right people. She said that I would not have any time for such stuff once the baby is born ! And she speaks from experience...
